Connection of rear light wire to rear light.

There are two ways you can do this. In both cases it is best to have the light off the rack so you have access.

  • use the bare wire terminals.

On the back of the light there are two holes above a small lever. If you have the lever to the right you can insert the wires into the holes. It does not matter which wire goes in which hole. Then, slide the lever to the left and the wires are held in place. Reattach the light to the rack with an 8mm spanner.

  • use the spade connector terminals.

Most shops supply the bikes using the bare wire system. But you can easily use spade connectors. The red size works best. They are available in small electronics stores.  Insert the bare cable in from the red end and crimp it using a standard crimping tool. It does not matter which wire you install on which side.

We recommend that you carry a few of these spare connectors on trips in case you ever damage the ones that connect to the back of the headlight.

The red switch on the opposite side of the taillight turns the standlight off if you happen to want to do that when you park the bike.
